50th Anniversary Celebrations & Other Special Events


World Ag Expo will host daily celebration events in honor of our 50th Anniversary! Check out the details for each event below. We hope to see you there!

Opening Ceremonies

Tuesday, February 14: 10:00 a.m. in the World Ag Expo Arena
Join us for the ceremonial opening of the 50th anniversary of World Ag Expo, complete with a live performance of the national anthem, presentation of colors and a ribbon cutting!

Bud Light After-Hours Party, Concert and Fireworks

Wednesday, February 15: 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. in the World Ag Expo Arena
We’ve been building up to this for 50 years! Come celebrate our golden anniversary with a cold beer, a concert by Parmalee and a fireworks show!  Concert begins at 5:30 p.m. and is free with paid WAE admission.

50 Year Tractor Parade

Thursday, February 16: 10:00 a.m. on Median Street
Walk through time with us as we take a look at 50 years of innovation! This unique parade will feature tractors representing the years of the show, starting with 1968. This is a historic celebration you won’t want to miss!


Prayer Breakfast: Grace Through Adversity

Wednesday, February 15: 7:00 a.m. in the VIP Event Tent, Sponsored by Bank of America
Speaker: Geoff Tipton
Mr. Geoff Tipton worked for the original Loomix and Foster Commodities and has served on the California Cattlemen’s Allied Industry Board. Geoff is a devoted husband and father, involved with various Bible studies, men’s ministries and is a strong follower of Jesus Christ.

World Ag Expo Toyota Tundra Giveaway Drawing

Thursday, February 16: 3:00 p.m. at the Toyota Exhibit Space (U Street)
Come watch the drawing for the winner of the 2017 Toyota Tundra. Representatives from World Ag Expo, Toyota and Valley Children’s Hospital will all be present and available for interviews and photos with the truck and winner (if present).
