Our tours offer an insider’s view of the diverse and dynamic agricultural landscape, blending education with firsthand experiences.

All tours depart from the front of the Heritage Complex building
at the West end of the grounds.

Times listed below are the scheduled departure and estimated return times.
Please note, tours will leave promptly at the scheduled departure time.

We recommend arriving at the Heritage Complex at least 15 minutes before the scheduled departure.
When planning be sure to allow ample time for traffic, parking, and getting to the Heritage Complex.

Kings River & Fresno State Vineyards and Wineries

Attendees will visit Kings River Winery and Fresno State Vineyard and Winery. Kings River Winery sits on 40 acres and has 12 different varietals of wine grapes. While at Kings River Winery, visitors will tour wine production areas, the vineyard, and cellar. Visitors will have the opportunity to sample and have lunch. 

After visiting Kings River Winery, visitors will stop at Fresno State Vineyard and Winery. This tour will give insight into the Enology program offered by Fresno State University. The student winemakers have achieved continuous recognition for producing quality wines by winning numerous medals. Visitors will tour the Barrel Room, Tanks, and Enology Labs.

Wonderful Citrus and J.D. Heiskell Mill

The Wonderful Citrus tour is a guided walking tour through the 700,000+ square foot Wonderful Halos packinghouse in Delano.  Guests will watch thousands of California mandarins travel through pre-sort, packaging, and shipping in a state-of-the-art packinghouse. Guests must wear long pants and flat, closed-toe shoes to enter the Halos facility. Jewelry will not be allowed into the facility (including, but not limited to watches, hairclips, necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and rings with stones.)

After visiting Wonderful Citrus, visitors will stop at the J.D. Heiskell & Co. feed mill, in Pixley.  The tour will view a feed manufacturing and trans-load facility. On the tour, you will also view the production warehouse and service trucks and learn about rail unloading and services.

This is a walking tour. No strollers allowed.

California Almond Growers & Monrovia Nursery

On this tour, attendees will visit the Central California Almond Growers Association and Monrovia Nursery. During the almond hulling facility portion of the tour, visitors will learn about how almonds are processed.

Visitors will stop at Visalia-area Monrovia Nursery’s and eat lunch and enjoy a tour of the 1000 acres with 40 varieties of citrus trees. By the end of the tour, visitors will understand how much care and forethought goes into producing top-quality fruit, in addition to the research conducted to improve growing conditions.

Tulare County Tour: Elkhorn Dairy and Naturally Nuts

This tour will be led by John Oneto as he will provide a guided tour around Tulare California. He will starting with the drive to Elkhorn Dairy located north of Visalia. The tour will highlight the technology and state-of-the-art facilities used by California dairies. At Elkhorn Dairy, learn about the carousel milking parlor which milks 3,000 cows, three times each day. The tour will also include a visit to the 5-acre solar farm that provides electricity for the operation.

The tour will continue as you will be guided around Tulare County as John explains the rich history of agriculture in the Valley, touching on water issues, the wide variety of crops grown, and challenges farmers are facing. Guest will continue their guided tour of the Valley on their way to Naturally Nuts in Visalia, with the opportunity to purchase local nuts and treats.

Due to time conflicts, it is only possible to attend one tour per day. Tour tickets are NOT admission to World Ag Expo®. If planning to utilize the Park & Ride bus to World Ag Expo® on the day of your tour, be sure to choose a Park & Ride bus that has a drop off location at West Gate 2 (tour loading site). No cameras or videos are allowed at tour sites. Refunds will not be issued for late arrivals.
