The Propane Education & Research Council (PERC) is attending the 2022 World Ag Expo® to discuss propane’s important role in the nationwide movement toward cleaner energy solutions. PERC invites 2022 World Ag Expo® attendees to stop by the Western Propane Gas Association (WPGA) booth — located at West Street lots 20 and 22 — to learn about the many cost, time, and environmental benefits of new propane equipment.
This year’s booth will feature a propane-powered irrigation engine, generator, mower, forklift, and more. At the booth, propane suppliers and equipment dealers will also be available to answer questions, and there will be giveaways and information about PERC’s current Propane Farm Incentive Program.
“Most people recognize propane as a clean, nontoxic energy source that will not contaminate soil or groundwater — making it safer for livestock and food production — but many do not recognize the extent of what new propane-powered equipment can do,” said Michael Newland, director of agriculture business development at PERC. “As an approved alternative fuel under the Clean Air Act, propane naturally and conveniently reduces emissions to meet Tier 4 Standards and EPA regulations so producers can spend less time worrying about regulations and emissions compliance and more time on daily operations.”
Propane equipment is also extremely versatile, including:
- Irrigation engines
- Grain dryers
- Generators
- Flame weeding systems
- Water and building heating
- Forklifts
